Rooted in Grace Leadership Conference
Women's Ministries leaders from across the Southwest Region Conference gathered at World Harvest Outreach Church in Houston, Texas, for the 2026 Leadership Conference. Under the powerful theme "Rooted in Grace," the conference equipped and inspired women leaders to serve with renewed purpose and deeper spiritual grounding.
The conference featured dynamic sessions led by three exceptional presenters who each brought unique perspectives on grace-centered leadership:
Linda Dianne Crimes-Penick delivered two impactful sessions: "Leading with Grace in Difficult Church Relationships" addressed the challenges women leaders face in navigating interpersonal conflicts within the church, offering biblical strategies for maintaining grace under pressure. Her second session, "Leading Without Losing Yourself," focused on the critical importance of self-care and spiritual preservation for women who pour themselves into ministry.
Dr. Nicolle Brise challenged attendees with sessions on legacy and service. In "Building a Legacy That Spans Generations," she explored how today's leaders can create lasting impact that extends far beyond their tenure. Her second session, "Service Is a Calling, Not an Option," reinforced the biblical mandate for servant leadership and the joy found in answering God's call.
Myon Morgan brought an empowering message through her session "Shape Your Environment, Elevate Your Story," encouraging women to take an active role in transforming their communities and embracing their God-given narratives as tools for ministry and influence.
The worship experience was enriched by special music from the Metro Community African Church, whose performances added a beautiful cultural dimension to the gathering. The conference also featured the 2026 theme song "I'm Moving Forward," which became an anthem of encouragement and determination for the attendees.
Looking ahead, the conference unveiled an ambitious lineup of 2026 initiatives for Women's Ministries across the conference: She Let Go, a program for emotional and spiritual release; God's Daughters, focused on identity and purpose; enditnow, the denomination's campaign against abuse and violence; Day of Service, community-focused outreach; cancer awareness initiatives promoting health and early detection; Graceful Gatherings, intimate fellowship events; participation in Camp Meeting; and the Union Women's Ministries Retreat.
The Rooted in Grace Leadership Conference set a strong foundation for a year of impactful ministry, leaving attendees equipped, encouraged, and ready to lead with grace in their local churches and communities.
